Carey Mulligan has married her rock star beau Marcus Mumford, of Mumford & Sons.

The 26-year-old actress and the 25-year-old singer tied the knot on Saturday at a Somerset, England farm. The couple's 200 guests included eight bridesmaids in turquoise dresses, Hollywood friends Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Firth and family, the Daily Mail reports.

Reports of the couple's weekend wedding plans first surfaced last week, when a source told Radar Online that Mulligan was absolutely walking on air and can hardly contain her excitement.

They are madly in love and know they are perfect for each other, a source added.

According to Us Weekly, Mulligan wore a custom-made cream gown by Prada, complete with pink Wellignton rain boots. (The weather was not very cooporative during the ceremony, so the bride had to dress appropriately).

Mulligan, who most recently starred in the Michael Fassbender film, Shame, has actually known Mumford since her childhood. The two were pen pals when they both lived in London, but lost touch as their respective careers began to take off.

In early 2011, the former pen pals reconnected when Mulligan and Gyllenhaal attended a private Mumford & Sons gig in Nashville.

At the end of the night there were just the musicians, Jake, Carey and the Mumford boys . . . we had some pizza and they just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on Amazing Grace.' Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly, a source told Us Weekly at the time.

The couple became engaged some five months later.

Mulligan, whose last high-profile relationship was with her Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps co-star Shia LaBeouf, is gearing up for a busy movie year. The Oscar-nominated actress recently wrapped production on The Great Gatsby, playing Daisy Buchanan alongside Leonardo DiCaprio's Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire's Nick Carraway and Joel Edgerton's Tom Buchanan.

Mulligan is also set to star in the new Coen brothers picture, Inside Llewyn Davis, a 1960s drama set in New York. Oscar Isaac, Justin Timberlake and Garrett Hedlund are also in the film.

Mumford, who was previously linked to British singer Laura Marling, is preparing to record Mumford & Sons' second studio album, following the success of the band's debut release Sigh No More. The album, which has produced the hits Little Lion Man, The Cave and Roll Away Your Stone, was the third most digitally-downloaded album of 2011, according to numbers released by Nielsen and Billboard.
