Carrie Underwood is one proud wife! The country singer, who is currently out on her Storyteller Tour, took to Instagram to share a sweet message for husband Mike Fisher.

“So proud of my @mfisher1212!!!” she posted on Thursday. “I see how hard he works every single day … he’s going to wear that ‘C’ Well!”

Fisher, who has played center for the Nashville Predators since 2011, was named the team captain on Thursday. He’s the seventh person to hold that title in the history of the franchise, and expressed what an honor it is on his own Instagram account.

“It’s really special to be wearing the ‘C,’” Fisher said in a statement following the announcement. “There’s no question it’s an honor, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to wear it for a great organization, great people and a great team. I couldn’t be happier, and I’m excited. I’m looking forward to the season and it’s going to be a fun challenge.”

Fisher has been playing professional hockey since 1999. He played for the Ottawa Senators for 12 years before being traded to the Nashville Predators in 2011. In 2012 he was awarded the NHL Foundation Player Award, an honor given to a NHL Player who gives back to his community and displays “commitment, perseverance and teamwork.

Underwood and Fisher recently celebrated their six-year anniversary. The two tied the knot on July 10, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia. They welcomed their first child, Isaiah, in February 2015.
