NBC’s police procedural “Chicago P.D.” premiered an action-packed episode this week in which Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) went undercover as a guard in a treatment center for troubled girls. Next week, the Intelligence Unit tackles the case of an unidentified body.

In Season 4, episode 14, titled “Seven Indictments,” Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) team investigates a home explosion that has no witnesses. They find a victim burned beyond recognition and they need to find out the identity of the deceased.

Additionally, a young boy is also found inside the torched house but he is rushed to the hospital since he is severely injured.

As Intelligence works to identity the victim and find out what happened inside the house, a web of secrets and lies are revealed.

The promo of the upcoming “Chicago P.D.” episode reveals that the burned victim was shot first. Initially, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and her boyfriend Halstead think that they have identified the victim but when he shows up at the Police Department, it quickly becomes clear that the victim is somebody else.

Elsewhere in Season 4, episode 14, Lindsay and Halstead will get an odd warning about newbie Kenny Rixton (Nick Wechsler) that leaves them suspicious. What is he hiding?

This episode will see Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) drop by. He left District 21 in order to be the lead investigator at the State Attorney’s Office. Furthermore, “Chicago Fire” character Mouch (Christian Stolte) and “Chicago Med” characters Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Nurse April (Yaya DaCosta) will be seen in this episode.

After this episode, NBC will air a four-way crossover between “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” “Chicago P.D.” and a new show, “Chicago Justice.” The special airs back-to-back episodes on March 1.

Catch “Chicago P.D.” Season 4 on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
