The NBA got a scare last night when New Orleans Hornets' star point guard Chris Paul was wheeled off the court on a stretcher.

With 4:36 remaining in the third quarter, Paul lost the ball on a drive into the lane, when he collided with Cleveland Cavaliers' point guard Ramon Session while trying to retrieve the ball. Paul's forehead hit Sessions's shoulder and Paul immediately fell, and stayed down while both teams' trainers attended to him.

The medical staffs at Quicken Loans Arena attended to Paul, and wheeled him off has he gave a thumbs up sign.

Tests showed Paul only had a concussion, and he rejoined the team and accompanied them on their flight to Chicago.

Paul is averaging almost 16 points and 10 assists a game.

He will not play in Monday's game against the Bulls.
