  • Stause thanked fans for their support as she moves on from their brief romance
  • The "Selling Sunset" star and Motsepe split reportedly "very recently" and remain "friendly" with each other

Chrishell Stause has broken her silence on her split from "Dancing With the Stars" pro Keo Motsepe.

Stause took to Instagram Saturday to signal that she was ready to move on. She told fans that she's done with the drama surrounding her relationship with Motsepe.

"Was I messy? Yes. But I appreciate this truthful, non manipulative change of tone," she wrote on her Instagram Story while sharing a screenshot of a report from Us Weekly. "I appreciate all of your supportive messages btw) Let my mess be a lesson to CALL OUT BULL [S–T]. Ok dropping this. Back to peace love and rainbows."

In another Us Weekly report, an unnamed source said the South Africa native, 31, "was caught in a web of lies" and made a big mistake, which led to his breakup with the "Selling Sunset" star after three months of dating.

"[Motsepe is] not denying the fact that he lied to her and is truly ashamed about something he did. … He genuinely loved her but made a big mistake. I don’t see them getting back together," the insider said.

Another source confirmed Stause and Motsepe's split to E! News, saying it happened "very recently." The tipster suggested there was a chance they could reconcile in the future as they remain "friendly," but it likely wouldn't happen anytime soon.

"They may get back together but likely, at this point, they won't," the source said. "They had a fun time together but in the end, decided it would be best if they part ways. They are still friendly and cordial. It wasn't a messy breakup, just wasn't the right fit or right timing."

Stause was previously linked to her "DWTS" Season 29 partner Gleb Savchenko, who announced his separation from his wife of 14 years, Elena Samodanova, in November 2020.

Stause firmly denied the rumors and insisted that she and Savchenko are just friends. Motsepe was paired with Anne Heche, but he formed a close bond with Stause.

"It happened after they were both eliminated from DWTS and were able to hangout with other people," a source told E! News about their budding romance at the time.
