American professional basketball player CJ McCollum enjoys a massive wealth built throughout nearly a decade of his playing career.

McCollum was drafted number 10 overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2013 NBA Draft. His total earnings for nine seasons from 2013-2022 were at $146.26 million, according to Spotrac.

McCollum earned $2.3 million in his rookie year, and his salary has increased every year since. Between June 2017 and June 2018, he earned $25 million between salary and endorsements.

In 2016, McCollum inked a four-year, $106.6 million contract extension with Portland after winning the NBA's Most Improved Player award for averaging 20.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

In 2020, the veteran guard landed at No. 84 on the Forbes list of highest-paid athletes in the world, earning $23.8 million in salary and an additional $2 million from endorsements. He made advertisements for Nike, Li-Ning, Panini and Pepsi.

McCollum signed a three-year, $100 million extension with the Trail Blazers in 2019, and he is on the books for $30.9 million this season, $33.3 million in season 2022-23 and $35.8 million in season 2023-24.

Reports revealed McCollum will soon be heading to the New Orleans Pelicans after eight seasons in Portland as part of a seven-player trade.

Through the deal, the Pelicans will also receive forwards Larry Nance Jr. and Tony Snell, while the Trail Blazers will get forward Josh Hart and guards Tomas Satoransky, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Didi Louzada.

The trade marks the end of an era in Portland, where McCollum has been paired with Damian Lillard in the backcourt since 2013, as per NBA.

Before joining the NBA, McCollum played college basketball for Lehigh University, where he was a two-time Patriot League Player of the Year, a three-time First-team All-Patriot League selection, and a two-time AP Honorable mention All-American.

McCollum reportedly owns some of the world’s best cars in the world, including a Mercedes Benz and expensive rides from Ford and GMC. He lives in a $1.6 million home in Ohio, according to Sportskeeda.
