‘Claws’ Season 1, Episode 5 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen Next In TNT Drama? [TRAILER]

Can Desna (Niecy Nash) and Jen (Jenn Lyon) save Dr. Ken (Jason Antoon)?

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 5 of “Claws,” Desna and Jen may be Dr. Ken’s only hope after Bryce (Kevin Rankin) wrongly accuses him of Roller’s (Jack Kesy) murder.

At the end of Season 1, episode 4, Jen called Desna to tell her that Bryce is convinced that Dr. Ken was the one who killed Roller. Worried that another man would die because of her and Virginia’s (Karrueche Tran) secret, Desna rushed to find Dr. Ken, but she didn’t get there in time to stop him from either interrupting his ex’s engagement party or from getting stuffed into the Bryce’s car trunk.

In the trailer for Season 1, episode 5, Dr. Ken runs into the woods after he seemingly manages to get out of the car trunk. Bryce chases after Dr. Ken with a gun in hand. But before he could shoot Dr. Ken, Desna and Jen arrives at the scene begging Bryce to spare the doctor’s life. “We’re not murderers,” Desna tells Bryce as a scared Dr. Ken hides behind her.

Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, Dean (Harold Perrineau) sees a disturbing billboard ad that hits too close to home, leaving Desna to cope with the dark aftermath. It’s unclear what makes the ad disturbing, but could it be something related to the Coombses?

In one of the first scenes in Season 1, episode 4, Dean had an anxiety attack after he saw a photo of the Coombses on the cover of a magazine. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that the Coombses were actually Desna and Dean’s former foster parents, and apparently, the couple didn’t treat the siblings well when they were in their custody.

Also in Season 1, episode 5 — according to the installment’s synopsis — Desna and Virginia are forced to enlist Polly’s (Carrie Preston) help to rid the world of “two horrible birds” from Desna’s past, with one well-aimed stone. Are these “two horrible birds” the Coombses? Only time will tell.
