AEW exec Cody Rhodes has claimed that wrestlers will like what they are planning to do for Wednesday Night Wars.

Wednesday Night Wars between AEW and WWE's NXT is arguably the biggest wrestling war in over 20 years. And while the battle is fast approaching, AEW’s Rhodes revealed what the company is planning to do, specifically with how the show will go.

In an interview with IGN, Rhodes stated how AEW plans to be different from NXT and keep themselves ahead in the Wednesday Night Wars. According to Rhodes, their entire roster isn't going to be featured on their show each week. He clarified that their stars will definitely have some “time off.”

“We’re going to try and present quality over quantity. Which means that some guys are going to have some time off,” Rhodes revealed.

With the said plan, Rhodes is confident that their wrestlers will be pleased with the idea.

"Which for the life and the well-being of a wrestler is a great thing to hear; that they’re not going to be, every week, putting themselves in a high-profile singles match,” Rhodes shared.

Rhodes also emphasized that in AEW, wrestlers will not be exhausted in a two-hour show. He insisted that AEW will have a different approach.

“They’re not going to be in a barn-burner tag. It’s going to be a very different show each week. We’re not going to try and cram everybody on the two-hour show. There’s no participation award here,” Rhodes pointed out.

With regards to WWE’s NXT, Rhodes admitted that AEW isn’t playing blind with the issues emerging between them. However, he made it clear that they have been planning everything and his statements aren’t intended to show reaction to NXT’s moves.

“We can’t pretend that we don’t know that’s happening, but we were always planning our show. And have been for a long while. This isn’t a reactionary move on our part. This is what our intentions were,” Rhodes shared.

Both AEW and NXT will be battling against one another for superiority in the TV ratings war. It is the first time wrestling fans will witness a war between two brands since the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW in the 1990s.

NXT will begin their live broadcasting on the USA Network later this month, while AEW won't begin their live weekly show on TNT until October 2.

About a week ago, CM Punk shared his thoughts about AEW and WWE. According to Punk, everybody should just enjoy wrestling and not focus on the so-called “war.”
