  • The "Counting On" alum was spotted pushing a twin carriage stroller across the street
  • The reality star also recently debuted her new short hair on Instagram

Jinger Duggar was spotted out and about with her children in Los Angeles this week.

The "Counting On" alum, 27, was dressed for comfort in a white T-shirt, denim shorts and sneakers and tied her short hair in a low ponytail in photos obtained by The Sun of her outing.

Duggar was spotted pushing across the street a twin carriage stroller containing her daughters, 8-month-old Evangeline and 3-year-old Felicity.

Her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, was not present during the trio's evening stroll.

This came just a week after the "19 Kids and Counting" alum debuted her new haircut on Instagram.

After growing out her balayaged hair down to the center of her back, Duggar had it chopped and refreshed with warm copper highlights with the help of Los Angeles-based hairstylist Taylor Ashleigh.

"Sometimes you just need to change the hair up a bit," she wrote in the caption alongside before-and-after photos of her hair.

Meanwhile, the reality star's recent outing was not the first time she had been seen wearing shorts. In June 2020, she shared on Instagram a photo of her workout session, and it showed her sporting a gray T-shirt and blue shorts.

"I’ve been keeping myself active with some home workouts! Jer and I try to workout together, usually when Felicity’s down for her nap. It’s good motivation having a workout buddy to keep you going," Duggar wrote in the caption.

The daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had only been allowed to wear skirts and dresses growing up, in keeping with their modesty standards. But since marrying Vuolo in November 2016 and relocating to Texas, she had started incorporating leg-shape-baring pants and jeans into her wardrobe.

Duggar opened up about her decision to expand her wardrobe in her and her husband's recently released book, "The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God."

"Growing up, I had a set of standards that I took as givens. Now, as I reexamined and compared them to scripture, my convictions were changing," she wrote, as quoted by E! News.

Through her studies, she "realized that biblical modesty is deeper and more profound than wearing skirts instead of pants," she continued. "Modesty isn't only about what you wear. It's about the position of your heart."

Wanting to "follow what the Bible said," and searching through it "for answers," Duggar noted that she "never found a passage specifically forbidding women from wearing pants."

Upon finding "certainty from the Bible, my heart was free," Duggar wrote in the book, adding that she "felt no inner conflict" when she started wearing pants for the first time.
