Dakota Fanning is stripping down to her underwear for a cause as she joins several other celebrities in a selfie campaign in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

While Fanning can be seen in bikinis when she's out on the beach, she doesn't share photos of herself in lingerie on her social media account. However, on Thursday, the 26-year-old actress posted a mirror selfie on Instagram in which she's wearing a pink bra and underwear set from Kit Undergarments for breast cancer awareness month.

Fanning’s photo received thumbs up from her fans and followers and surpassed 320,000 likes in just a day.

"Owwww what girl so pretty," one follower commented, while another wrote, "I LOVE HOW U USE YOUR PLATFORM."

"No matter fame, or body shape, it has to take guts to put this out there so props to you @dakotafanning Rock on lady," a third fan wrote.

Stylists and co-founders of Kit Undergarments, Jamie Mizrahi and Simone Harouche, are partnering up with Women's Cancer Research Fund and will be donating 5% of its sales for the entire month of October to support breast cancer awareness. The brand will also donate $1 to the organization for every person who posts a photo wearing Kit Undergarments underwear.

"Be sure to tag @kitundergarments and use #KitstoKickCancer!" Fanning wrote in her post.

Aside from Fanning, several other celebrities also joined the campaign and shared photos of themselves in Kit Undergarments' pink underwear set, including Michelle Monaghan and Kate Hudson. Behati Prinsloo, Katy Perry and Mindy Kaling, meanwhile, wore the brand's tie-dye long sleeve bodysuit to support the cause.

"It’s breast cancer awareness month and I’m joining my friends @kitundergarments company to #kitstokickcancer," Hudson captioned a photo of herself rocking the pink undies on Instagram.

"Sending a HUGE hug to all the survivors, the fighters and the families who have had to sadly say goodbye to loved ones," she continued. "We fight to see the end of breast cancer in our lifetime! Let’s do this $1 for every post with #kitstokickcancer will be donated to @wcrfcure."

Prinsloo, meanwhile, shared a snap of herself on Instagram posing in a bathroom in Kit Undergarments' bodysuit.

"So happy to support @kitundergarments for breast cancer awareness month," Adam Levine's wife wrote.

She also encouraged her followers to tag Kit Undergarments and the Women's Cancer Research Fund when they post photos of themselves wearing the brand's underwear.
