“Dance Moms” alum Kalani Hilliker is under fire after she shared a tweet supporting President Trump on election day. The reality star shared a message that appeared to rub her Lifetime castmates the wrong way.

After sharing footage from Trump’s rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Hilliker encouraged her Twitter followers to exercise their right to vote in the presidential election.

“No matter who you’re voting for, use your voice and vote!!! It’s your right!!! #Trump202020,” the 20-year-old tweeted.

Hilliker went on to echo that message in her Instagram Story and encouraged Americans to come together. “America is the greatest country because everyone has the freedom to express their opinions, so no matter what happens this week, we need to all come together as Americans and respect one another.”

However, her message was not well received by her former castmates. Nia Sioux responded to the post using her IG story and explained why she had difficulty accepting Hilliker’s perspective.

“America hasn’t been great, and it’s not going to be great until we have people in office who care about people other than themselves,” Sioux wrote.

The 19-year-old added, “I definitely think everyone needs to respect each other, but it’s so hard to respect a president who doesn’t respect me, or women, or minorities, or the LGBTQ community.”

“I’m all for respecting people, but at a certain point when someone can’t even denounce white supremacy, how can you have respect for that person?” Sioux said.

Meanwhile, Chloe Lukasiak was more subtle about her response to Hilliker and liked a tweet stating she, Maddie Ziegler, and Sioux were better dancers.

Lukasiak’s mom Christi also appeared to respond to Hilliker with a TikTok video. However, she later deleted the video.

Elsewhere, Kenzie Ziegler commented “vote blue” under one of Hilliker’s TikTok posts.
