It was a dream come true for “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe and pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev when they were crowned as the Season 29 champions of “Dancing With the Stars,” but fans of the show are calling foul on the results.

The former “Bachelorette” and her pro partner, who returned to the show after being fired for Season 28, were announced the winners of the ABC competition series over “Catfish” host Nev Schulman and his partner Jenna Johnson, as well as Nelly and Daniella Karagach and Justina Machado and Sasha Farber. While the pair were notably excited about their win, some fans have since taken to social media to express that they are anything but happy.

Most were upset that Schulman, who averaged the highest scores of the season, wasn’t awarded as the winner.

Others expressed that the results were unfair because Bristowe was now the second “Bachelorette” in a row to win the competition after Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten were crowned the champions of Season 28.

There were also many who felt Bristowe simply wasn’t that great of a performer, because while she may have technically done well, she wasn’t as engaging, which made votes for her seem suspect.

Prior to Bristowe’s win, fans had previously been furious that Nelly had made it to the finals over both Skai Jackson and Johnny Weir as well. It also isn’t the first time there has been criticism about who won the overall season either. Fans were previously mad when Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess were crowned champs in Season 27.

“Dancing With the Stars” has not yet been renewed for a 30th Season.
