Are Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter’s PDAs subtly confirming their relationship status? There’s a saying which states, “action speaks louder than words," and what the two are doing may just be their own way of announcing to the world that they are an item.

Cyrus and Carter sparked the dating rumors following their intimate escapade in Italy. It wasn’t long after when ex Liam Hemsworth filed a divorce from Cyrus but amid the proceedings, the 26-year-old singer was reportedly seen having a discreet PDA with Carter.

The discreet PDA happened after the 2019 MTV VMAs, where Cyrus performed her latest single “Slide Away.” The rumored couple held each other’s hands on their way to an after-party at Up and Down Nightclub, New York City, on Monday night, Just Jared reported.

While the two walked to the backstage earlier that evening, Carter was, at one point, seen placing her hand on Cyrus’ head, E! News reported. The rumored couple was reportedly seen together during the 2019 MTV VMAs. However, Cyrus and Carter passed the red carpet but she [Carter] was at the backstage to show support to her [Cyrus], Cosmopolitan reported.

The backstage encounter could’ve been just another passing moment but it became the talk of the town when a source allegedly claimed to Page Six that Cyrus gave Carter a sweet kiss prior to her on-stage performance. The news outlet also reported that both were not seen seated at the audience.

Earlier, the same news outlet, Page Six, reported of one source claiming to have spotted Cyrus and Carter kissing and making out at Soho House, West Hollywood Club.

Nobody really knows the real relationship score of Cyrus and Carter except probably the people who are very close to them. There were a lot of speculations going around especially with all these intimate pictures showing up but at this point, there’s still neither official statement nor confirmation of the relationship status from the people involved.

Before Hemsworth filed a divorce from Cyrus citing irreconcilable differences as the reason, there were rumors thrown at the “Slide Away” singer alleging her infidelity as the cause of the split. These strong claims surfaced after the public saw, on several different occasions, the pictures of Cyrus and Carter together following her split from Hemsworth.

In response to the cheating allegations, the American singer posted a heart-felt message on Instagram and Twitter, admitting to all the rebellious things she previously did except for being liar and a cheater.

Cyrus said that when she and Hemsworth got back together she meant it and she was committed. In addition, she strongly refuted the claims that her marriage ended because of cheating.
