Days of Our Lives
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) opens her heart to Rafe (Galen Gering), who is guilt-ridden about sleeping with Sami (Alison Sweeney, not pictured) on the Dec. 6, 2017 episode of "Days of Our Lives." NBC

She has regretted how things went when she finally admitted to Rafe that she couldn't let go of Bo and likely wouldn't marry him as a result. Now, after realizing how much she does genuinely love him, Hope will try to see if there's any hope he will give her a second chance on the Wednesday, Dec. 6 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

After their fight and his decision to call off the engagement, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was devastated on the NBC soap. Since then however, she has realized just how much she does want Rafe (Galen Gering) in her life, and she has been desperate to find him and see if he would be willing to give her a second chance. She was unsuccessful at reaching him all night however, but now, they will meet again in the Salem Park, and she will open up to him and beg for another chance at their engagement.

Rafe may agree to give things a second chance because he still loves her too. However, this time around, he will be the one who is haunted—and may wind up dragging his feet a bit more when it comes to getting to the altar with his bride.

After calling things off, Rafe met up with his ex-wife, Sami (Alison Sweeney), and both were feeling down. While he was upset about Hope, she was devastated because she had further alienated her son, Will (Chandler Massey), after her misguided attempt at forcing him to remember his past. The two then got drunk, and their old chemistry resurface, leading to a sexy bedroom romp.

Now, knowing Hope is also insecure about how close he remains to Sami after all these years, the guilt that he slept with her will thoroughly eat away at him. While he and Sami promised they wouldn't' tell anyone what had happened between them, he will find it hard to properly re-commit to Hope, knowing he actually betrayed her.

However, at least for now, he will try to put his guilt aside, and will decide to try one more time with the woman he loves.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
