Paul (Christopher Sean) shares an emotional goodbye with john (Drake Hogestyn) and Brady (Eric Martsolf, not pictured) before leaving Salem on the Nov. 20, 2018 episode of “Days of Our Lives.” XJ Johnson/JPI Studios for NBC

His relationship officially came to an end when he realized Will was only staying with him because of his life-altering accident. Now, with nothing really tying him to Salem any longer, Paul will share an emotional goodbye with his father and brother as he heads out of town on the Tuesday, Nov. 20 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After having his fears and suspicions confirmed that Will (Chandler Massey) loved Sonny (Freddie Smith) again and was only staying with him because he didn’t feel it was right to abandon him during his time of need, Paul (Christopher Sean) encouraged the man he loved to do what was truly right on the NBC soap. As a result, they ended their relationship, and Will is free to once again reunite with Sonny. However, that has left the former baseball player alone, and he has now had to make some big decisions about what it means for his future.

Though his father, John (Drake Hogestyn) and brother, Brady (Eric Martsolf) both live in Salem, Paul may decide that it’s too hard to stay there anymore because of his failed relationships with both Will and Sonny. He may also decide that the only way he can fully recover is by leaving his life in the town behind for good.

“Days” spoilers tease that Paul shares an emotional goodbye with John and Brady before leaving Salem. No matter what propels his decision to head out of town, he will be doing so ahead of the holidays. Naturally, his family members will be devastated but they will also likely understand his reasons for wanting to leave.

Of course, while he will still head out of town, everything may not be all sad for Paul, as he could get one little surprise before he leaves.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
