She has been desperate to get out of the institution she was committed to ever since her former best friend admitted to setting her up and having her sent there out of revenge. Now, Abigail will successfully dupe Stefan into getting her released from Bayview, and she will begin a plan to seek revenge of her own on the Friday, Dec. 7 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Abigail (Kate Mansi) knew that she wasn’t suffering from her DID again when she was sent to Bayview by Chad (Billy Flynn) and Stefan (Tyler Christopher), and her suspicions that Gabi (Camila Banus) was scheming against her on the NBC soap were confirmed when the other woman paid her a visit and taunted her. Since then, Abigail has been desperate to do whatever she could to be free, with the end goal of not only being reunited with her children but also getting revenge on her former best friend.

However, there is only one way she can get out, and that is by convincing Stefan that her “Gabby” alter, the one he fell in love with, is back. She already laid the groundwork during his visit, and he began to wonder if the woman he wanted was really coming home. After pushing all rationality aside, he will decide that the alter is in fact here to stay, and will quickly work to release his wife from the facility.

Of course, now that she’s free, Abigail will have to continue with the “Gabby” act in order to keep Stefan from sending her back once again. Still, being on the outside again will give her the chance to do what she plans—and she won’t waste any time when it comes to getting payback on the woman who tried to destroy her life.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
