They had agreed to go out to dinner together and see where their feelings take them if he secured a job and a place to live, both of which he has now done. However, Ben and Ciara’s first date still may not go as well as they hope it will on the Wednesday, Dec. 5 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) plans for a romantic relationship have not been well-received by anyone in Salem, but the two still decided they would see where things went on the NBC soap. However, they maintained they would wait until after Ben found a job and a place to live, something that wouldn’t be easy since no one in town wants to give him a chance. He had a stroke of luck when he went to Stefan (Tyler Christopher) however and became his head of security. Now, the time has come for him to take the woman he’s fallen in love with on a date—but they’re still going to have some obstacles in their way.

Not only will Ben and Ciara likely have some trouble finding a place to actually have their dinner, since her relatives own most of the nice places in town and won’t welcome Ben, and the square café is where Tripp (Lucas Adams) works, but the particulars surrounding Ben’s new job could also land them in some trouble. Stefan ordered him to end the date early so he can meet with Ted (Gilles Marini) and bring him to Stefan, and doing work for him is not going to help his reputation.

Even worse, Ted is working with Ciara’s mother, Hope (Kristian Alfonso), in an effort to keep the pair apart for good. Ted has promised her he can get a confession from Ben that he did start the fire that almost killed Ciara, and has plans to meet with his client to pin the crime on him. If Ben doesn’t successfully set Ted up first, it could spell disaster for any future he may have had with Ciara.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
