He’s been secretly harboring feelings for the woman that is dating his brother and learned she felt the same way when they shared a kiss. However, following a turn for the worse when it comes to his mother’s health, Eric will seek a familiar source of comfort as he makes a promise regarding his future with Sarah on the Tuesday, March 19 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After sharing a kiss with Sarah (Lindsey Godfrey) that Brady (Eric Martsolf) interrupted, Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) guilt began to get the best of him, even as he denied making a move on the woman Rex (Kyle Lowder) hopes to marry. However, the drama with his love life took a backseat on the NBC soap when Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) condition after being poisoned by Diana (Judith Chapman) worsened. Now, with her apparently dead as her soul struggles to come back, Eric will find himself going down a familiar route as he tries to do whatever he can to help his mom.

The former priest will turn to prayer as he hopes for his mother’s safe return to the living and eventual recovery from the tragic situation, and as he realizes he may need something stronger he will decide to use his romantic struggles as a bargaining chip when it comes to the prayer for his mother’s health.

“Eric makes a promise to God to stay away from Sarah if Marlena lives,” spoilers tease.

How much help his prayers will be is undetermined, but as everyone who loves her worries about whether or not she will make it, the woman who poisoned her twice with penicillin will begin to worry that her secret will get out.

“Diana worries she may have left behind evidence that she tried to kill Marlena,” spoilers reveal.

Leo (Greg Rikaart) already confronted his mother with his suspicions that she tried to kill Marlena in an attempt to get John (Drake Hogestyn) for herself, and now, following her injecting more of the drug into Marlena’s IV to bring her to the state she is currently in, Diana will begin to fret that she slipped up and left something behind that could incriminate her.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
