They have both felt an intense connection to the other but have not acted on it due to a series of misunderstandings and her eventual reconciliation with his brother. However, Eric and Sarah may finally give in to their feelings for one another on the Thursday, March 14 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Sarah (Lindsey Godfrey) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) initially grew close to one another after she called off her engagement to Rex (Kyle Lowder) and they wound up grieving Nicole’s (Arianne Walker) death together. However, their misunderstandings about one another and where they stood on the NBC soap saw them ripped apart, especially after Sarah drunkenly slept with Xander (Paul Telfer). She eventually decided to give her romance with Rex another shot, though she and Eric have secretly harbored feelings for one another the entire time.

Now, as he once again grapples with the possibility that his mother, Marlena (Deirdre Hall) could die following her being poisoned with penicillin, Sarah will show up to give him some comfort—but it will lead to them finally acting out on the passion they both feel, and they will share a spontaneous kiss as a result.

However, the moment isn’t likely to lead to them sharing a happily ever after ending with one another, because if someone else witnesses them kissing, it could quickly lead to Rex being told—causing more drama for all of them involved.

Meanwhile, Rex is already suspicious of the bond his brother and former fiancée share after Brady (Eric Martsolf) warned him that he couldn’t trust Eric. It appears he will continue thinking there is something to be fearful of, as spoilers reveal he confides in Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) about Eric and Sarah.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
