Her confession that her marriage was fake led to a judge deciding she would be deported immediately from the U.S. and sent back to China. However, realizing it was impossible to say goodbye to her, JJ has now made a huge move to give Haley a chance to stay in the US a little bit longer on the Friday, May 17 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After learning Haley (Thia Megia) barely even had an hour left before she would be forced to board a flight back to China, JJ (Casey Moss), Melinda (Laura Kai Chen) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) all tried to think of ways to stall the process, but even Melinda’s last-minute confession that Haley was really her daughter—and not her sister—didn't do anything to dissuade ICE agents from making her leave on the NBC soap. Then, as they said their final goodbyes, Tripp arrived with a bag of Haley’s belongings and was questioned by the agents about why he would help her since she claimed she tricked him into marriage. That provided JJ an opportunity to grab Haley and run.

Now, it appears the two may be able to evade the agents enough so they can get a head start on getting out of Salem.

“JJ and Haley go on the run,” spoilers reveal.

Meanwhile, Melinda appeared ready to take matters into her own hands as well, after Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) saw her in the park, loading a gun. Now, she may be forced to reveal the truth to JJ’s mother as well about how she allowed her daughter to be deported.

“A stunning secret is revealed,” spoilers state.

With the truth about their relationship getting out, it could make things more complicated. And while JJ and Haley may successfully be evading the authorities right now, they may not have as much luck once eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), who are celebrating his mayoral win, get wind of how things have since gone.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
