He has done everything he can to cover up the truth about Mickey not really being Sarah’s daughter, but all of his secret efforts may have been for nothing, since Xander may find himself cut off from the baby by her “father” on the Wednesday, March 25 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Xander (Paul Telfer) has been working even harder lately to cover up the truth that Mickey is actually Rachel, the daughter Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) thought they lost because Nicole (Arianne Zucker) started becoming suspicious on the NBC soap. He feels he may have temporarily kept her from discovering the truth for now since he paid off the lab tech that conducted the DNA test Nicole had done to confirm her suspicions. However, Eric (Greg Vaughan), who is Mickey’s biological father, is still wary of his role in his daughter’s life and may make a move to convince Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) that her fiancé needs to have less of a role.

“Eric expresses concern to Sarah about Xander’s role in Mickey’s life,” spoilers reveal.

Eric may want to keep Xander away because of his dangerous past as well as the fact that he helped cover up the fact that Eric was the baby’s father for so long, and because he helped make sure Will (Chandler Massey) stayed in jail for Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) death when he knew Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) was the one who caused the car accident that killed her. However, Sarah and Xander will likely both express objections and the issue could be tabled—but that will still only be for now.

Though the DNA test revealed Mickey was not Kristen’s child, Nicole still has a hunch she’s right in her suspicions about the baby girl, and despite Xander’s best efforts, she won’t be letting go of this as easily as he hoped. Now, she will bring someone else in as she continues digging for answers.

“Nicole confides her suspicions to Abe,” spoilers state.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
