“Cool For The Summer” singer Demi Lovato broke up with UFC fighter Luke Rockhold, but she seemed happier than ever during a trip to Kenya. The former Disney star posted multiple updates of her African vacation to social media.

Lovato wasn’t just there just to have fun and relax, she volunteered with Me to We, formerly known as Free the Children, which is a movement that aims to make the world a better place. She is a celebrity ambassador for the organization, which helps provide school children with necessities and build schools.

Lovato, 24, tagged the group in many of her Instagram photos. On her first day in Kenya Saturday, Lovato posed with baby elephants. “Caption this. Wait actually... don't,” she wrote about an elephant’s trunk interrupting her selfie. On Snapchat, she shared photos of giraffes and rhinos.

In her next round of photos Wednesday, Lovato posted a pictured of herself with Kenyan school girls. “Had such an amazing time with these beautiful, intelligent and inspiring girls,” she wrote. “Thank you.”

One of Lovato’s favorite parts of the vacation was getting to know other women. “Women helping women. One of the most incredible moments of this trip,” she captioned a photo of herself hugging a Kenyan mother. “Thank you @Ryanbolton for capturing this beautiful moment with one of the mama's!! I love this so much.”

It’s not the first time Lovato has been to Kenya. She spent her 21st birthday in the African country in 2013. During that visit, he volunteered for the same organization.

Lovato apparently moved on from Rockhold with MMA fighter Guilherme Bomba Vasconcelos, though he did not apparently go on the trip with her. They did, however, spend New Year’s Eve together, Entertainment Tonight Online noted.

Last month, the singer shared her excitement when she was nominated for multiple Grammy awards. “Woke up to the most amazing news EVER!!!!!!!" she tweeted Dec. 6. “Wow... thank you SO MUCH to @RecordingAcad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #GrammyNominations.”
