Demi Lovato just landed her first Grammy nomination and is obviously over the moon happy about it. After learning about the good news, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter went on a tweeting spree to share with her fans how she really feels about it.

Upon waking up to the “most amazing news ever” on Tuesday, Lovato took to Twitter to thank the Recording Academy. She then retweeted the congratulatory messages from some of her friends, including tweets from Joe and Nick Jonas.

Lovato’s “Confident” album is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album alongside Adele’s “25,” Justin Bieber’s “Purpose,” Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman” and Sia’s “This Is Acting.” According to her, it is an “honor” to be nominated with the four other recording artists.

Hours later, Lovato still couldn’t digest the idea of being nominated for a Grammy, so she took to Twitter once again to share with her millions of fans that she’s “unbelievably grateful” and “happy.” Before hitting the sack, the “Skyscraper” singer admitted that the nomination is a dream come true for her.

It is understandable why Lovato feels elated to finally get a nod from the Academy. Since last year, she’s been raving about her desire to get attention from the Grammy committee. In her interview with Complex for the magazine’s Oct/Nov 2015 issue, the former Disney Channel child star gushed, “I want the Grammy committee to hear [that song] so that one day they can see that — I know that I’m capable of getting there… When I say getting there. I don’t mean winning one. I just want to be nominated for one.”

When asked what getting a nomination meant for her, Lovato said, “Everything in my entire singing career — all of the guitar lessons, all of the voice lessons, all of the songs that I wrote when I was 8 years old, when I was 15, writing six songs a night, all of the touring — would be worth it… It’s literally everything. It’s like the Olympics for an athlete.”
