German fashion designer and artist Karl Lagerfeld will be the guest editor for Metro International newspapers on Feb.7, 2012.

Lagerfeld's prime role will be to provide exclusive coverage on the four global fashion weeks - New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week. All the coverage will included in Metro's special The world according to Karl edition.

Regarded as the Big 4 fashion weeks, these four events are attended by the crème-de-la-crème of the fashion industry.

I love daily papers and it's fun to be part of one of them just for the day. Metro is on a worldwide scale and it's even more fun, stated the 78-year old designer.

With this new collaboration, Lagerfeld has joined fashionista and supermodel Naomi Campbell to get involved in editing roles.

The Telegraph UK reported that Cambell has taken up a new role as editor-at-large for both the Russian and German versions of Interview magazine. The model has already written the introduction to the December issue which features actor Leonardo Di Caprio on the cover, and is now working on Q&As for the following month.

Besides working on exclusive coverage during the fashion weeks, Lagerfeld's role also involves giving readers an opportunity to show their fashion sense via a global Look Book competition. In this, participants are required to submit their own fashion statement to a global Web site. With a link to Facebook, participants can engage friends and fans, post messages about their Look Book, and promote their submission.

The winner of the competition will get an exclusive trip to Paris to be the editorial assistant on Feb.6, 2012.
