Matthew Perry has somehow found a similarity between his character Chandler Bing from “Friends” and Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the Joker.

Perry went to Twitter over the weekend to share a meme of Bing and the Joker side by side looking like they’re doing the same dance. The actor captioned the photo, “You’re Welcome” and then added, “Sorry I don’t know who made the image, but bravo.”

Perry’s post has received a lot of attention with over 224,000 likes, 52,000 retweets, and 2,100 replies as of Monday afternoon. “Friends” fans were eager to tell him just how much they loved the cinematic parallel.

“You did it first because you're the king of the world,” one commenter wrote.

“Sue for copyright,” another fan jokingly added.

Bing’s dancing was taken from a scene in Season 4 of the sitcom. In the “Friends” episode his character explains to Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) why he doesn’t like dance at weddings, Insider noted. “Weddings are a great place to meet women and when I dance, I look like this,” Bing says in the episode before showing off his infamous moves.

Perry's post came several weeks after "Joker" released in theaters. The Joker’s dance moves are one of the most talked-about scenes from the movie. In the scene from Perry’s meme, the Joker (Phoenix) dances down a flight of stairs. The stairs are now such a popular tourist spot in the Bronx because of the scene that residents who live there have asked “Joker” fans to “please stop using their staircase as a stage for their impromptu dance number,” ScreenRant reports.

"Joker" has been the center dozens of other memes since its release, such as a voiceover of Seth Rogen's laugh instead of the Joker's.

At the time of this writing, Phoenix has not acknowledged Perry’s tweet.
