Star Wars’ faithful are insatiable when it comes to all things "Star Wars."

The Walt Disney Company, which owns the "Star Wars" franchise, is banking on this unshakeable loyalty holding true when it opens the much talked about “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” “hotel” in the near, near future.

Disney asserts "Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser" has no similarities at all to your ordinary Earth-bound hotel. It calls this an incredible all-immersive experience where guests will be bombarded by things "Star Wars" during their two days and two night’s vacation.

"Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser" will make its home at The Walt Disney World Resort (aka Walt Disney World and Disney World) in Orlando, Florida.

Disney says "Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser" will see guests arrive and depart together, similar to the experience on a Disney Cruise Line. Unlike a typical sea cruise, however, this voyage will allow guests to become the heroes of their own "Star Wars" story in a new type of all-immersive Disney experience.

Your adventure begins when you arrive at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal at Walt Disney World and check in. You’ll then board a Launch Pod that will zoom you into space. Peering through the pod’s windows, you’ll see yourself leave the Earth as you jump to hyperspace and draw closer and closer to the Halcyon, a starcruiser/armed starship, which will be your home for the next two days.

When the Launch Pod docks with the Halcyon and the airlock opens, you’ll step into the ship’s main deck Atrium to begin your journey through a galaxy far, far away.

Disney says guests “will cruise the galaxy in style aboard the Halcyon, known for its impeccable service and exotic destinations. Onboard, you will stay in well-appointed cabins, experience onboard dining, make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, and much more.”

Disney says a visit aboard the Halcyon is “a multi-day story that interweaves with members of the crew, other passengers, familiar Star Wars characters. There’s also an excursion to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”

The all-immersive experience aboard Halcyon also features entertaining activities only possible in the "Star Wars" Universe. Among these unique experiences are wielding a lightsaber while confronting a training remote (think "Star Wars Episode IV"). You might also discover your own connection with “The Force.”

You can also tour Halcyon’s bridge to learn about the starcruiser’s systems and how to operate them just in case The First Order decides to make your trip more interesting by launching an attack.

Disney explained that once aboard Halcyon, guests can relax and watch the Universe present itself with all the magic Disney animation has to offer. Every window on Halcyon has a view into deep space and all its bizarre sights. And, in a tribute to the “Cantina,” Halcyon’s crew will consist of alien races.

Guests can also meet-up with Chewie, Rey and Kylo. There will be stopovers at Batuu (as in “Why does everyone want to go back to Batuu?”) and the Black Spire Outpost, also known as Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

Disney also said that apart from exploring the Halcyon, guests might also “discover hidden spaces deep in the mechanics of the ship -- perfect for uncovering secrets … or holding secret meetings.”

Choices you make during your adventure will help determine how your "Star Wars" story progresses. This means the more you interact and explore, the more opportunities to have new experiences.
