Disney World's Universal holiday celebration could not go “all out” in 2020 due to the pandemic, but this year's celebrations may feel more like normal times.

Disney’s popular holiday parades last year were reduced down to only a limited amount of themed-characters to parade in front of a reduced-capacity crowd.

“We were in pandemic mode, but we still wanted to get the Christmas spirit out,” Reed Jones, director of creative development with Walt Disney World Live Entertainment, told USA Today.

“This year, we are taking a giant step towards normal. We’re all looking for events where we can enjoy the messages of the season–being together, kindness, and love. It’s something we truly need right now,” Jones said.

COVID restriction will still be in play for the 2021 celebration. Proof of vaccinations or a recent negative Covid test will be needed to enter the grounds.

Here is a list of Disney World's Universal holiday events offered for 2021:

Disney Very Merriest After House - Is a four-hour special event that requires a separate entry ticket that will include a new holiday show featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a fireworks and projection show, and the return of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade.

Jingle Cruise - A holiday version of “Jungle Cruise”

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Holiday Edition - Adds Christmas and the holidays to the show from the decor to the jokes.

Cinderella's Castle - Will have festive holiday projections on it when “After Hours” is not going on.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Join the celebration with seasonal shows and decorations in both “Diagon Alley” in Universal Studios Florida, and “Hodsmeade” in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Grinchmas - Get together with the resident Whos and enjoy the music and fun of The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular starring the Grinch

Sunset Seasons Greetings - Will have a series of holiday scenes projected on the Hollywood Tower Hotel every evening along with a Santa Claus Motorcade that will be driving down Hollywood Boulevard with an elf.

Santa Claus Festive Flotilla - A St. Nick will float down the Discovery River at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
