Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have been living away from each other since the latter’s retirement two years ago.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans discussed whether or not Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh still get to spend quality time with each other considering their very delicate ages.

Chris Hawkes, a citizen of the United Kingdom, said that he’s certain the Queen and Prince Philip are still able to make their marriage work. Even though the dad of four is retired from public duties, he still joins his wife on some royal engagements.

Prince Philip was last seen attending Lady Gabriella’s wedding with the Queen. He was also present at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding on Oct. 12, 2018. The Queen and Prince Philip also attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials on May 19 of last year.

The Queen, who has not retired from her royal duties, resides at the Buckingham Palace. But Hawkes said that she and Prince Philip most likely spend their weekends together.

“Actually, this is not an uncommon situation for many working relationships. And the couple spends most weekends together, and also days where the Queen’s royal diary is blank, according to the palace,” he said.

Laura Warwick Martin, a former fundraiser, said that the term quality time is one of the modern phrases that people from older generations may not understand.

“They have been married for 70 years and 66 of those years as Queen and Prince Consort, I would imagine they have the management of their time down part by now and I would also imagine that, if asked, they would say all their time is quality time, although I wouldn’t ask Prince Philip this question as I fear the answer would be no to be polite,” he said.

Dick Hughes responded to the question simply by uploading a photo of the Queen and Prince Philip. In the snap, the couple looks loved-up despite their old age.
