“Real Housewives of New York City” star Elyse Slaine believes Ramona Singer may be missing former co-star Bethenny Frankel amid her heated feud with a new cast member, Leah McSweeney.

After Bethenny announced her departure from the series in August 2019, viewers have seen new faces on the Bravo reality series. However, McSweeney’s recent rants slamming Singer has Slaine believing the 63-year-old may be intimidated by their new co-star.

During a conversation on the “Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef” podcast, Slaine suggested that Singer is aware she is no match for McSweeney. “I know that Ramona had real problems with Bethenny,” she revealed.

“Because I think she thought Bethenny had no boundaries. And would say and do anything. And now, I think Ramona would beg to trade Leah for Bethenny to come back,” Slaine added.

While Singer may not be able to hold her own in a showdown with McSweeney, Slaine believes Frankel could handle a confrontation with 37-year-old. “Bethenny and Leah, they’d be a really interesting dynamic. I think that they’d respect one another’s intellect,” Slaine claimed.

Slaine predicted that Frankel’s return to the cast would result in a vicious battle with McSweeney. “But I think [Frankel and McSweeney] would go at it,” she explained.

“Yeah, it could be a fight to the death. They’re both very strong. They’re both very cutting, they’re unfiltered. So yeah, no one stood up to Bethenny really. I think people were afraid of Bethenny.”

Following Frankel’s departure, “Real Housewives of New York City” executive producer Andy Cohen admitted that there has been less drama on the show compared to previous seasons. However, he believes the women will “regroup” and deliver an entertaining season to viewers.

“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 12 airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
