'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Star Beth Chapman Steps Out After Cancer Surgery
Nothing is stopping Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman and his wife, Beth Chapman, from enjoying their time together--not even her illness.
On Wednesday, the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" stars were spotted in Los Angeles for the first time after Beth announced that she was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer. The couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at Craig's restaurant, Us Weekly reported.
Beth, 49, sported a black dress and covered her neck with a floral scarf. Meanwhile, Duane, 64, donned a blue button-down shirt and black pants. The walked hand-in-hand as they left the restaurant.
On the next day, Beth and Duane were spotted out and about in L.A. again. This time she rocked a retro Kiss shirt, dark scarf, black pants and sneakers. Meanwhile, Duane wore his signature half-unbuttoned shirt, faded jeans and sneakers.
Beth announced her health condition earlier this month. In a letter addressed to her friends, she confessed that she was diagnosed with throat cancer. However, she assured everyone that she is not giving into her illness.
"I've been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, 'You have cancer,'" Beth wrote. "After months of a nagging cough, a routine checkup resulted in a diagnosis of stage II throat cancer. I have what is referred to as a T2 Tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses."
On that week, Beth was already prepping for her emergency surgery. She admitted that "it's a very scary time for them and their family they are being strong, praying, and following doctor's orders." Beth's surgery was done in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The doctors removed a "plum-sized tumor" during the operation.
According to Hawaii News, Beth and her dog bounty hunter husband are already back in Hawaii. The couple arrived at the Daniel K. Inouye airport on Thursday afternoon. It seemed that the couple had a dinner on their last night in L.A. When they were spotted the following day, they were already heading to the airport.
