Kathy Griffin is mourning the death of her sister, Joyce, after the latter battled cancer. She was 65.

On her Instagram account, the former CNN New Year’s Eve special host shared a video of Joyce in her hospital bed. She captioned the clip by saying that her sister has passed away peacefully the night before. She also included a link to the American Cancer Society and encouraged her followers to donate any amount to help support their cancer research treatments.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Griffin shaved her head in July to show support for Joyce, who was undergoing chemotherapy at that time. In the photo, Griffin is seen holding her bald head with a huge smile on her face. In a second photo, Griffin posed beside her mom, Maggie, who seemingly looked surprised but happy with her daughter’s bold decision. Maggie also took her thoughts to Twitter at that time and called Griffin a “wonderful human being.”

As of late, the kind of cancer that Joyce fought against had not been revealed. Three years ago, Griffin also said goodbye to her brother, Gary, after he succumbed to Stage 4 esophageal cancer. At that time, Gary was 63. Following his death, Griffin also paid tribute to her brother via Instagram.

Meanwhile, Griffin also made headlines recently after she posed with a decapitated fake head of President Donald Trump and posted it online. The move cost almost Griffin’s entire career since she lost some projects thereafter. After everything has been settled between Griffin and the United States Secret Service, TMZ revealed that the controversial photo could sell for a huge sum of money.

According to a source close to famed celebrity photographed Tyler Shields, at least 1,000 people have already shown interest to purchase the photo. Some of the offers have also reached six figures. One interested buyer offered Shields $150,000 for the original print. Shields wouldn’t have to ask Griffin’s permission to sell the photo since he owns all the rights to it, and the TV personality was just his subject.

However, the photo still remains in Shields’ hands, and it is unclear if he will really sell it.
