Donald Trump Jr. campaigned for his father Wednesday in Pennsylvania, where he criticized Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden during a 35-minute gathering at a sportsman’s club outside Harrisburg.

The president’s son spoke very little about policies or his namesake's plans if he is reelected in November. According to a report by PennLive, he devoted most of the campaign event to talk about former Vice President Biden, at one point calling the presidential candidate a “groundhog” who “confuses his wife with his sister.”

“He comes out of his burrow every few months like a groundhog,” Trump Jr. said. “Joe Biden can’t remember what day it is. He doesn’t know what office he’s running for. He confuses his wife with his sister.”

The comment was an apparent reference to Biden's gaffe during his Super Tuesday speech in March, when he mistakenly introduced one as the other.

Trump Jr. accused the media and liberals of cooperating to support Biden. He also claimed that if his father’s Democratic opponent wins the 2020 elections, his administration will bring radicalism, communism, and loss of gun rights for Americans.

The 42-year-old’s appearance at the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club came as some polls indicated that Biden’s lead in Pennsylvania has started to shrink. He asked the 300 people who attended the event to persuade their colleagues to vote for Trump.

Trump Jr. also headlined a campaign rally at the Savannah (Ga.) Convention Center on Wednesday evening, taking a few more stabs at Biden. He boasted about his father’s involvement in the recent Middle East peace deal, the first in in more than two decades.

The president’s son also criticized Biden’s political record as a senator, and later as vice president during Barack Obama’s administration.

“He’s going to fix racial inequality in this country,” Trump Jr. said of Biden, asking, “Why didn’t you do that when you were the vice president to the first African American president?”

Ahead of the event in Savannah, the Democratic Party of Georgia called the rally “reckless and dangerous.” They also released a statement accusing the Trump campaign of caring more about the November elections than the locals’ lives and safety, WSAV reported.

Organizers said the event had safety measures in place, including providing hand sanitizer and masks to attendees, and reminding the people to observe social distancing rules.
