Donald Trump sparked outrage for blaming Kate Middleton for a particular incident.

Trump also criticized Middleton years before he slammed Meghan Markle. The president of the U.S. made another statement against the Duchess of Sussex recently. He implied that Markle should toughen up because she takes criticism “very personally.” The politician made the said remark after watching Markle complaining about the treatment she receives from a documentary.

Years before Trump made that comment on Markle, he sparked outrage when he also slammed Middleton following the Duchess of Cambridge’s photo scandal. In 2012, a French magazine published pictures of Middleton sunbathing topless while on vacation.

Trump blamed Middleton for the intrusion of privacy. The “Apprentice” alum implied that Middleton should have not done it even if she was in a private space.

“Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude – only herself to blame,” Trump wrote on Twitter

“Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!” he added.

However, Trump’s comments against the Duchess of Cambridge did not make the netizens happy. Many felt that it was inappropriate. One said that Trump was “like blaming a woman that wears shorts for being raped.”

Another defended Middleton and said that the duchess did it at the privacy of her own home. Another argued that it was a shame that Middleton was not allowed to enjoy privacy.

“Wonder if u would b saying the same thing if those were nude pics of Ivanka being posted in newspapers?? Shame on you!!!!!!” a different online user wrote.

In related news, Trump visited the U.K. months ago. However, according to The Daily Beast, the U.S. president wanted one thing from the young royals, but he didn’t get it.

Trump reportedly wanted to pose alongside Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle. He was convinced that it would be an “invaluable PR for his 2020 re-election campaign.” Unfortunately, the fab four seemed to avoid him.
