Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t give Donald Trump his ultimate wish.

According to The Daily Beast, the U.S. president wanted one thing from the young royals – a photo op. However, he didn’t have the chance to pose alongside Prince William, Prince Harry, Middleton or Markle.

According to the publication, Trump wanted a photo with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because it would be an “invaluable PR for his 2020 re-election campaign.”

The publication pointed out that the fab four seemed to avoid the politician. Prince Harry was reportedly angered by his remarks calling his wife, Markle, “nasty” in one interview.

Prince Harry attended the state banquet the Queen hosted for Trump but appeared to be not in his usual friendly disposition that evening. According to royal commentator Ingrid Seward, the Duke of Sussex looked “grumpy” and as if he didn’t want to be there. The royal expert said that whatever Prince Harry’s feelings at the time were, it was his duty to support Queen Elizabeth II regardless. He advised Prince Harry to follow the lead of his royal grandmother who never allowed her personal feelings to interfere with duty. Seward noted it was “bad manners and rude” to do so.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also present at the state banquet dinner. However, they were several seats away from Trump. Earlier that day, Prince William and Middleton raised some eyebrows for not attending the welcome ceremony for Trump and his wife, Melania. A number of netizens were wondering where the couple was because they live close to Buckingham Palace but didn’t show up at the ceremony.

Trump had also made unwelcome remarks about Middleton following her photo scandal in 2012. The U.S. president blamed Middleton for the controversy and said that she should have not gone sunbathing in the nude and added that she only had “herself to blame.”

However, Jennie Bond didn’t agree with Trump because, for her, Middleton shouldn’t be blamed. However, she said that Prince William let down his wife by failing to warn her. Christopher Wilson also felt that security should have done a better job.
