  • The trailer shows new characters and weapons
  • 'Doom Eternal' is slated to launch this March

The launch date of 'Doom Eternal' is fast impending and id Software and Bethesda Softworks have dropped a brand new trailer to showcase the new villains and stunning fight sequences.

The much-awaited first-person shooter video game revolves around the Doom Slayer who returns to find Earth in shambles after a demonic invasion. 'Doom Eternal' trailer shows the game is set in the year 2151 and various characters narrate the storyline.

The new characters talk to the Slayer, however, the Slayer cannot be seen doing any of the talking. He is seen killing the demons and angel-looking foes.

“This is humanity’s chance to repent,” a voice says. “Against all the evil that hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce, we will send unto them only you,” the second voice tells the Slayer. Meanwhile, the third voice tells him that saving his people will not bring him any peace and will only make the burden he carries worse.

Clearly, a lot is at stake for the Doom Slayer as he suits up to battle the demons and raises hell. The second half of the 'Doom Eternal' trailer shows the Slayer slashing his way into demons and otherworldly creatures. He can be seen using rocket launchers, laser swords, and shotguns. The new enemies in the trailer are the Gladiator and the Marauder.

The second trailer of 'Doom Eternal' shows the single-player campaign. Not to miss, the background score of the trailer is noteworthy. With what starts like a typical trailer-like score comprising booms and drops, the music quickly introduces a modern synth line over the voice. The sound design is stellar and as the Slayer shreds the enemies, the other musical elements enter to give impact to the fast-paced fight scenes.

In the upcoming video game, the Slayer is equipped with an advanced Praetor Suit with a wrist-mounted Doom Blade and a flamethrower mounted on his shoulder. The players can get their hands on upgraded mods and guns like Meat Hook weapon attachment to the Super Shotgun.

'Doom Eternal' is set to launch March 20, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
