Dr. Seuss, the iconic children's book author and cartoonist, would have been 108 years old today: Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Mass.

The author of The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, is a staple in homes and schools throughout the world. A film adaptation of his book The Lorax opened in theatres on Friday - and certainly the premiere date was no accident.

While readers of all ages probably have a few Dr. Seuss quotes memorized, we mined Twitter for some of our favorites.
