Bandai Namco recently announced a livestream featuring the producers of both the "DragonBall FighterZ" and "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." While the topics they will be talking about weren’t confirmed, fans are eagerly waiting for a fresh set of DLC characters as the Season Pass characters are already in the game. Here is what we know so far about the "Dragon Ball FighterZ" DLC news.

As seen on the official Bandai Namco US Twitter, the Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase livestream will go live on Jan 14 from 4 to 5 p.m. EST. It’ll feature exclusive interviews with "DragonBall FighterZ" producer Tomoko Hiroki and "DragonBall Xenoverse 2" producer Masayuki Hirano.

Potentially, the interviews may include announcement or clues about the next set of "DragonBall FighterZ" DLC this 2019. Other than the updates for the games, this livestream could have been done to celebrate the North American release of the "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" movie this coming Jan. 16.

As of now, the last set of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" DLC characters, namely Cooler and Android 17, in the Season Pass has been released. Many fans would like to see other favorites like Videl, Janemba, Bojack, Super Saiyan 4 Goku and even the movie version of Broly to be playable in "Dragon Ball FighterZ." This interview could possibly announce the second season pass for this game.

On the other hand, the producers' interview could also reveal more information about the current state of the eSports side of the "Dragon Ball FighterZ." Last year, "Dragon Ball FighterZ" disappeared from many major tournaments as a main event game. Many fans were worried as the game still had a strong following and was far from dwindling at the time.

However, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada announced that he’ll handle "Dragon Ball FighterZ" eSports management too, along with "Tekken 7" and "Soul Calibur 6." It’s possible that we’ll hear more info from Hiroki herself about this move for "Dragon Ball FighterZ."

Even if there are no announcements happening during this livestream, the game’s anniversary is closing in. "Dragon Ball FighterZ" was released on Jan. 26 last year, and Bandai Namco may have something in store for the fans for the first year anniversary. For now, we’ll have to wait for the upcoming livestream and the anniversary for more info about "Dragon Ball FighterZ" DLC.
