Drake is shutting down any and all claims that he was disgusted after kissing Madonna at Coachella Sunday. The 56-year-old pop legend joined the Toronto native on stage during his performance where she surprised him with a steamy smooch. Video from the incident show Drake reaching up toward her face before asking the crowd, “what the f--k just happened?” It was both the shocked look on his face and the fact that he quickly wiped his mouth that had fans buzzing, suggesting he wasn’t into the lip lock. TMZ reported Drake was simply wiping the lipstick from his mouth, but critics weren’t buying it. Days later the 28-year-old is setting the record straight regarding his reaction.

The “10 Bands” rapper uploaded a still from the controversial video to his Instagram on Monday. He thanked Madge for performing with him and assured fans he was more than OK with locking lips with the superstar. The caption revealed that he was not disgusted but rather in shock.

“Don’t misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel [100] about that forever,” he wrote.

Madonna also responded to the buzz on Instagram. The “Like a Prayer” singer uploaded an image featuring this quote: “If you don’t like me and still watch everything I do. B---h, You’re a fan.” She did not caption the image or address the incident more directly, but continued to post cryptic messages to her haters on the social media site. Following the suggestive quote she uploaded an older photo of herself accompanied by lyrics to her song, “Human Nature.” The caption, which read, “I m not your b---h…,,,,,,...Don’t hang your s--t on me. Not then.., #unapologeticb---h,” caused further speculation among fans and critics though it remains unclear if it was related.
