Dakota Johnson's long list of fans has a new addition — Drew Barrymore. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star appeared on the Thursday episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show" and the host was all praises for the young actress after watching her viral interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

During her appearance, Johnson talked about her "great" neighbors, Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney, and went on to complain that the couple has "a lot of parties and they don't invite me."

"People have gotten in trouble for claiming not being invited to your parties," Barrymore said, referencing Johnson's awkward "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" interview from two years ago, which has gone viral.

Barrymore then praised Johnson, saying, "That was amazing, by the way, like, amazing."

Upon hearing Barrymore's praises, Johnson blushed and burst out laughing.

Apparently, the "Santa Clarita Diet" star was referring to Johnson's November 2019 appearance on DeGeneres' popular talk show. The 32-year-old actress' guesting turned awkward when the 63-year-old host and comedian claimed that she wasn't invited to Johnson's birthday party, which was held in October of the same year.

"Actually, no, that's not the truth, Ellen," the "Suspiria" star said in response. "You were invited. The last time I was on the show last year, you gave me a bunch of sh-t about not inviting you, but I didn't even know you wanted to be invited. I didn't even know you liked me!"

DeGeneres then claimed she had no idea why Johnson thought that way.

"Of course I like you," the Emmy-winning host said. "You knew I liked you. You've been on the show many times, and don't I show like?"

But the "High Note" actress was not having any of it. She insisted that she invited DeGeneres, but the talk show host didn't come.

"Ask everybody," she challenged DeGeneres. "Ask Jonathan, your producer."

After one of the staff members confirmed that DeGeneres indeed received an invitation, the host awkwardly said she must have had a "thing" that prevented her from attending the party.

"It was probably in Malibu," she added. "That's too far for me to go to."
