Drew Barrymore shared some kind words for "Spider-Man" star Tom Holland after remembering the first time they met.

The "Drew Barrymore Show" host met Holland before he made it big in Hollywood. Barrymore came across photos of their meeting several years ago and shared them on Instagram as she recalled her first impression of the 25-year-old actor.

"@tomholland2013 I remember meeting you what was it? 2011? And I was so captivated by you," Barrymore began. "And I had just watched your movie and we were meeting about a project I was going to direct and I truly thought you were the most impressive and incredible person as well as such an extraordinary talent!"

Barrymore said that she has been following Holland's progress. She has watched him grow up, fall in love with the "greatest woman," his girlfriend Zendaya, become "our hero" as "Spider-Man," and the great dancer in "Billy Elliot" and "Lip Sync Battle."

"And now you will play Fred Astaire hopefully??? There is nothing you can't and won't do! I remember this moment. And I woke up and saw it on @tomhollandupdates and I didn't know there was a record of this pic!" she continued. "It was like every time I see you, I remember this moment and now I have record of it too! I send you and your lady the very best! As always, I am cheering you on!!!!!!"

Several netizens loved Barrymore's message for Holland. They also noticed how she held Holland's arm in the second photo, with one saying it was a "protective mom grip."

"You are the best cheerleader for others, Drew! Love that about you — and it's just so genuinely who you are!" one commented.

"How very sweet! Thanks for sharing," another added.

Holland and Zendaya were last spotted packing on the PDA while strolling in the U.K. The couple flew across the pond in his native place with his family after the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home."

In December, the "Avengers: Endgame" star said he wanted to take a break and focus on his personal life. Holland admitted that he wanted to settle down and have kids.

"I've spent the last six years being so focused on my career," he told People. "I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world."
