Tom Holland wants to slow down with his acting career and focus on starting his own family.

Holland, 25, got candid about his plans for the future. The "Spider-Man" star, who is dating Zendaya, 25, said he wants to take a break and focus on his personal life.

"I've spent the last six years being so focused on my career," Holland told People. "I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world."

Holland also said he would have been a teacher if he weren't acting because he is fond of children.

"I love kids. I can't wait to be a dad — I can wait and I will, but I can't wait!" he added. "If I'm at a wedding or a party, I'm always at the kids' table hanging out. My dad's been such a great role model for me. I think I've got that from him. So I think I'd be a primary school teacher or something like that."

Zendaya and Holland met on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016. There were rumors that they were already dating at the time, but the pair never addressed the speculations. They only seemingly confirmed their romance when they were photographed kissing inside his car in Los Angeles in July.

The pair locked lips at a red light during a sunset drive while inside his $125,000 Audi sports car. In the snaps obtained by Page Six, he held the "Euphoria" star's face and leaned in to kiss her. They were also seen smiling and acting silly. He also stared at his girlfriend lovingly and caressed her face.

Meanwhile, in the same interview, Holland expressed his willingness to pass the torch to the next "Spider-Man" actor. According to Holland, he didn't want to hold back the next young actor who deserves to play the role, which gave a massive boost in his career.

Holland is the third actor to play the web-slinging superhero after Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. And now he feels that it is time for a change.

"I would love to see a future of Spider-Man that's more diverse — maybe you have a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman," Holland said. "We've had three Spider-Mans in a row; we've all been the same. It'd be nice to see something different."

Holland will return as the titular superhero for the last time in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" that is hitting theaters Friday.
