Dua Lipa opened up about the unauthorized fireworks incident that took place during her "Future Nostalgia Tour" concert held in Toronto earlier this week and said that the incident left her and her team "shocked and confused."

During the 26-year-old singer's performance Wednesday, unauthorized fireworks were set off, which injured three fans.

Lipa took to Instagram Story on Thursday to address this incident and wrote, "Last night, unauthorized fireworks went off in the crowd during my set in Toronto."

She further wrote how her first priority is "creating a safe and inclusive space" for her fans during the concert. "My team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are," she added.

Lipa shared that there is an "ongoing investigation into the events being conducted, and everyone involved is working hard to find out how this incident occurred."

"Bringing this show to life for my fans has been such an amazing experience," she concluded. "And I'm so deeply sorry for anyone who was scared, felt unsafe or whose enjoyment of the show was affected in any way."

According to multiple reports, the victims got minor injuries, including burn marks on their shoes and legs. Police confirmed the injuries were minor and none of them required an ambulance. The cops also confirmed there was no property damage due to this incident.

Many fans shared the fireworks video on social media following the concert. One of the fans shared a video of the fireworks and asked if it was planned or not.

Another fan also shared a video showing the fireworks and the singer performing on the stage.

A Twitter user wrote, "Caught this last night thinking these fireworks were part of the show until we quickly realized they weren’t…!!!" alongside a footage from different angle, showing the fireworks.

Lipa's "Future Nostalgia Tour" began on Feb. 9 earlier this year and it will go on till Nov. 16. The tour will cover various locations including Europe, North America and Oceania. The singer is performing her second studio album, "Future Nostalgia," which was dropped in March 2020.
