The Pittsburgh Steelers are heavy favorites over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season.

The Eagles are early seven-point underdogs on the road, according to the betting lines compiled by OddShark. The over/under is 44, the lowest on Sunday’s entire schedule.

Philadelphia finally picked up its first win of the season in Week 4, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-20. Pittsburgh’s Week 4 contest was postponed after the team started the season on a three-game winning streak.

There are still plenty of questions surrounding the 1-2-1 Eagles, who currently sit atop a poor NFC East. Philadelphia’s offense was only responsible for 18 points last week, winning on the strength of a pick-six. Carson Wentz was held to 193 yards, and his mediocre 81.4 passer rating was a season-high.

Wentz has 930 passing yards, four touchdown passes, seven interceptions and a 66.9 passer rating through a quarter of the season. The Eagles are 28th in total offense and 29th in yards per play.

Those numbers might not get much better against Pittsburgh’s defense. The Steelers haven’t given up more than 21 points in any game, ranking second in yards allowed per game and third in opponents’ yards per play.

Philadelphia isn’t far behind Pittsburgh. The Eagles are 10th in total defense and fifth in opponents’ yards per play.

The Steelers’ offense hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders. Pittsburgh doesn’t have a 30-point game this season. Maybe the Steelers were improving with their 28-21 win over the Houston Texans in Week 3, but an unplanned week off might not have helped.

The total has gone under in eight of the Steelers’ last 11 games, according to OddsShark.

The Denver Broncos and New York Giants, two of the league’s worst teams, were competitive in losses against Pittsburgh. Philadelphia can do the same in what should be a close, low-scoring affair.

Prediction: Pittsburgh over Philadelphia, 23-20
