Everything in Emma Watson’s world seems to be going swimmingly, especially her love life.

Just shy of three months after she was first spotted vacationing with college rugby star Matthew Janney, Emma Watson appears to be getting serious with her rumored new beau. The actress, who has yet to confirm her relationship with the 21-year-old Oxford University student, was spotted spending time with him during a break from her “Noah” press tour this week.

According to a report from E! News, Watson, 23, was seen enjoying a casual outdoor lunch with Janney in Madrid on Tuesday, just hours after making an appearance at the “Noah” premiere the previous night. While Janney did not accompany the former “Harry Potter” actress to the red carpet event, a photo does show the duo in good spirits on their trip to Spain.

So just how serious is Watson and Janney’s relationship? While Janney has yet to join her to any press events, including her appearance at the Academy Awards, the pair was last rumored to be moving in together earlier this year.

According to gossip site speculation, Watson, who was spotted condo-hunting in New York’s Upper East Side in January, was searching for a home to share with her athlete lover. “[She] is on the hunt for a New York base for her and her new beau,” reads a MyDaily.com report, adding that the pair were already “head-over-heels” despite their short courtship.

While Watson has been tight-lipped about Janney, the athlete’s family had no qualms gushing about Watson to the UK's Evening Standard in January. “We are thrilled to bits that he is seeing Emma Watson,” Janney’s “second mother” Coralie Day revealed, going on to call Janney a “lovely” choice for the former child star. “Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing anyone could say about Matt,” she added.

While Watson’s romance is capturing a majority of her fans’ attentions this week, she is also rumored to be starring in the coming “The Little Mermaid” film. According to a report from the UK’s The Sun, the British film star is in talks to lead the live-action, Sofia Coppola-directed adaptation of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale. “Sofia wants Emma and the pair have such a respect for each other. It would very surprising if they carry on without each other,” a source told the tabloid Thursday.

Watson can be seen next in Darren Aronofsky's biblical drama “Noah” in U.S. theaters March 28.
