The official cast announcement won’t come until Sept. 12, but there’s already plenty of potential names that have been floated around when it comes to the celebrities who will be attempting to win the coveted “Dancing With the Stars” Season 27 Mirrorball Trophy.

A few different names have emerged as possible contenders for the next season of the hit ABC competition series, ranging from TV Personalities and political figures to actors and other caliber celebs. While we won’t know anything or anyone for sure until ABC decides to make an announcement, here’s what we’ve learned about the potential cast.

The Pros Are Set

13 “DWTS” favorites will be returning to the dance floor for the new season. While Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are sitting this one out, the series will see some other favorites return. They will include Lindsay Arnold, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Keo Motsepe, Gleb Savchenko and Emma Slater. Joining as a first-time pro is promoted troupe member Brandon Armstrong.

A Controversial Character Has Been Rumored

Though the report came from a questionable source, there have been no outright denials that Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former Reality TV star who served in Donald Trump’s White House as Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison, would be a part of the Season 27 cast. There have been rumors that she was being heavily courted by ABC to appear on the show following the buzz about her recent book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar Rumors Continue To Grow

Rumors have followed Sarah Michelle Gellar for years about her potentially giving “Dancing With the Stars” a try, but she’s yet to join the show. However, the rumors have only begun to grow stronger, following the actress posting on Instagram in August that she had attended a “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” taping—and met judge Adam Rippon. Gellar has attended live shows for “DWTS” before however, so it’s not necessarily a fact that fans will see the former “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” star putting on her dancing shoes.

There Is A ‘Bachelor’ Alum On The New Season

While Colton Underwood will be busy filming the new season of “The Bachelor,” which he is starring in, another “Bachelorette” reject who has found an adoring audience will be dancing. Early rumors pointed at Blake Horstmann, Becca Kufrin’s runner-up. However. Reality Steve has since reported that to be false—stating that current “Bachelor In Paradise” star “Grocery Store” Joe was participating on the show, even reporting at first that he has been partnered with longtime pro Sharna Burgess. The show probably wouldn’t include two “Bachelorette” cast-offs in the same season, so if Joe is in, Blake is likely out.

Bobby Bones Is Competing

While Reality Steve initially reported Grocery Joe was dancing with Sharna, he has since revealed he was sent an email that actually stated she was dancing with someone else. As it turns out, that alleged partner is Bobby Bones, a radio personality who hosts a nationally syndicated weekday program “The Bobby Bones Show.”

“Dancing With the Stars” Season 27 premieres Monday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. EDT.
