A three-year horse racing school has an incredibly difficult entrance exam. It only enrolls one out of every 10 to 20 applicants. "Fanfare of Adolescence" explores the journey of three boys who arrive at this school with the dream to become a jockey.

"Fanfare of Adolescence" Episode 1 will introduce the three titular characters. Shun Kazanami grew up on an island and his only exposure to horse racing was through radio broadcasts.

Yū Arimura is an ex-idol who fell in love with horse racing when he witnessed it for the first time. Amane Grace is from a high-class family in England and his father is an ex-jockey.

"At the all-boys Horse Racing School, entrance is incredibly difficult, with only one of every 10 to 20 applicants being accepted. Here students need to not only be book smart, but athletic and in peak physique. Three new students — a popular idol, another from a remote island, and one from England unsure of his path — come to this elite school to pursue their dreams of becoming a jockey,” read the official "Fanfare of Adolescence" anime series synopsis, according to Crunchyroll.

The anime is directed by Makoto Katou and the series composition is handled by Team Fanfare. Tomokatsu Nagasaku is the chief animation director while Tomoe Ookubo is the animation director. Hiro Kanzaki is the character designer of the series.

The music of "Fanfare of Adolescence" is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano and the sound direction is by Masanori Tsuchiya.

The cast of the anime includes Natsuki Hanae as Amane Grace, Shimba Tsuchiya as Shun Kazanami, Shōgo Yano as Yū Arimura, Hiroki Touchi as Kazuo Nohira, Chiaki Kobayashi as Kōta Maki, Daisuke Namikawa as Yoshihisa Kuji, Yōjirō Itokawa as Aki Kyōriki, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hayato Hōshō, Inori Minase as Eri Shimotsuki, Lynn as Tako Kitami, Masako Katsuki as Naoko Saionji, Shōsei Ōhira as Masaki Azuma, Shōya Kimata as Kōsei Nambara, Takahiro Sakurai as Yutaka Asahi and Tatsumaru Tachibana as Sōjirō Sakuraba.

Fans can watch "Fanfare of Adolescence" Episode 1 online, which is set to debut this Saturday on Crunchyroll. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
