In a shocking incident, a father hacked his 26-year-old son to death for creating troubles for his family by pestering for money for purchasing alcoholic drinks. The incident took place Wednesday in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

According to local reports, the victim was addicted to alcohol and was causing problems for the family by constantly asking for money to buy alcohol. Police said that there were times when the victim physically assaulted them. Recently, he allegedly launched an attack on the accused over raising objections against his behavior.

The accused, identified as 55-year-old V Muthukumar, attacked his son on Wednesday for asking money. The accused hacked his son to death with an axe. The victim died on the spot. The father later called the police and surrendered himself after the murder.

After receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and took the body of the victim and sent it for an autopsy. After a formal investigation, the accused was arrested.

In another incident last month, an alcohol addict allegedly murdered his 45-year-old wife and 17-year-old son with a sharp-edged object in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Local police said that the accused demanded money from his wife for purchasing alcohol. When she refused, the accused killed her and their teenage son.
