Fetty Wap accident update

Rapper Fetty Wap is still recovering following a motorcycle accident in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey, on Saturday. A representative for the "My Way" rapper released a statement saying Fetty Wap had received treatment and was in "stable condition." It's not clear if he has been released from the hospital.

“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident,” the statement read (via People). “He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

The rep said more updates would be provided on the rapper's condition as they became available. A few of Fetty Wap's friends tweeted about the accident assuring fans the 25-year-old was doing OK.

"Wap is Gucci everybody thank you for your prayers #Amen," DJ Louie Styles wrote alongside a photo of Fetty Wap sitting up in a hospital bed with a splint on his leg. Just Blaze tweeted, "My fam picked up Fetty at the scene and got him treatment. He's good. Other guy is in worse shape."

As previously reported, Fetty Wap was struck and knocked off his motorcycle when he supposedly veered into the oncoming lane to get around a car. Sources told TMZ the "Trap Queen" rapper didn't see the other vehicle coming and his motorcycle collided with the car.

According to reports, Fetty Wap was treated at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. So far, the rapper has not commented on the accident via his social media pages.
