  • Rumors about the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo claim that it is headed to PlayStation Store
  • A new intro video surfaces, which seemingly confirms the rumors about "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo

A few days ago, several reports surfaced claiming that the demo of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is heading to the PlayStation Store. The leak, however, it was confirmed by neither PlayStation nor Square Enix, which means we do not know if it is really coming to PSN. But, a new report not only confirms but also reveals the legitimacy of the demo with a new "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" intro video.

The intro of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" begins with Aerith listening to the lifestream emitting from one of the pipes of Midgar when something startles her. She rushes to the alley and into a populated sidewalk, bumping into one of the pedestrians and spilling some of the flowers. As Aerith picks up the flowers, another pedestrian steps on her.

She holds the flower to her chest and appears like mourning. The camera pans to the direction where she is looking and reveals the entirety of Midgar. Meanwhile, Cloud rides a train to a Shinra Corp Mako reactor. When he arrives, Cloud's Avalanche team members, Wedge, Barret, Jessie, and Briggs take outs some of the Shinra guards roving in the area. Barret calls Cloud, and the mercenary makes his entrance similar to that we saw earlier in The Game Awards trailer.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake - Box Art
The official box art for the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake indicates that it will be a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4. Square Enix

The new intro video of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" mirrors the original one with some distinctive differences. Cloud and his team still ride the train to the Mako reactor, however, the new one shows a cool and brooding Cloud. The new "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" also reimagines how his team takes out the Shinra guards.

The new "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo will allow players to decide how their camera will function. It will also enable them to select the level of difficulty of their playthrough. Additionally, it implies how players will be able to experience the entire first part of the story dubbed as "Chapter 1: The Destruction of Mako Reactor 1."

While the new leaked intro video of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is exciting, it is worth noting that it is not from PlayStation or Square Enix, in short, it is unofficial. "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" arrives on Mar 3. 2020 for PlayStation 4.
