The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives authority in St. Paul announced it was responded to the scene in the city of Buffalo, about 40 miles from the state capital, Minneapolis.

The Star-Tribune published a transcript of a police dispatch from the incident.

"We just had a bomb go off in the clinic," a caller said. "They're evacuating the clinic parking lot, so we're going to go stage back at the child-care center we originally staged at."

One suspect is in custody. Kelly Prestidge, an office manager at the city’s police department, told The Associated Press it was unclear if that person was indeed the shooter.

The situation unfolded late morning local time and was resolved shortly therefore. Police, the AP reported, said there was no longer a threat to the public.
